Born in Dublin, Paul lives in London and has an MBA from City University (London), a PG Dip Finance from South Bank Poly, a Graduateship in Marketing from the Marketing Institute of Ireland and a B.Sc. (mngt) from Dublin University. Paul says he is now ‘learning more than ever before’. Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a former Senior Examiner who developed their first eMarketing qualifications. He is married with three (adult) children.
Paul coaches and trains a variety of organisations on topics ranging from Managing Change to Digital Marketing Strategy to Social Media Marketing to Marketing Planning, CRM, Automated Marketing & Digital Body Language to The Ladder Of Engagement to SOSTAC ® Marketing Planning to Creative Thinking Techniques for solving real problems. He also speaks about Sportsmanship Stories & Corporate Leadership.
Paul developed the Northern Ireland government’s first creative digital hub and launched it via a parallel virtual event with the Minister For Enterprise appearing in virtual worlds. Paul was interim marketing director at UCAS (Universities & Colleges Admissions Service) – winning an award for integration of social media that boosted customer satisfaction, while reducing costs.
Paul is also a best-selling business author. His 6 books (including hybrid eBooks) are translated into 7 languages. His SOSTAC® Planning System is used by organisations around the world (and voted in the Top 3 business models of all time – Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Centenary Poll). A former senior lecturer (for 10 years), Paul then became the Founding Director (and MD for 10 years) of a Consortium of British Universities eLearning Marketing Programme.

Paul is also rolling out his own innovative social media driven programme – an inspirational literacy programme called The Great Sportsmanship Programme which boosts literacy, sport, self-esteem and global citizenship, with an emphasis on social media and ‘user generated content’. The programme is also being adapted by Sports Management courses in HE, schools, youth centres, clubs (including Arsenal & Barcelona) from Dubai to Dublin and is also used for corporate events as something very different that motivates teams.
